I lived at Monarch Apartments for about a year and a half, and overall it was a pleasant and peaceful experience. I would especially like to recognize Guilma for her excellent customer service. She was always professional, helpful, and responsive, which truly made a difference during my time at the community. The property itself is well maintained, attractive, and comfortable. For the most part, the environment was calm and enjoyable. The only major issue I experienced was an incident where a sprinkler unexpectedly burst, which unfortunately caused personal losses. While this was an isolated situation, it was impactful. I rented there for my daughter to attend college for 2 years. She left Apartment in tip top shape. Walk through was done with management. We moved out my daughter July 31, 2025. We are now October. Finally got a call back from Carla today. She told me they are keeping my $350 deposit because they clean apartments for new tenants. She said thats what the "accountant" told her. Of course your not allowed to speak to the hidden "accountant". You will not receive your deposit when you leave.

I would give zero stars if I could. It’s been over two months since a family member moved out, and they still haven’t received their security deposit back. They left the apartment clean and in great condition, even followed all the move-out instructions carefully. Despite multiple calls and emails, management keeps giving vague excuses or simply doesn’t respond. It’s extremely disappointing and unprofessional to treat tenants this way. I would not recommend renting here—if you do, be prepared to fight to get your own money back.

My niece moved out on July 31, 2025 and still waiting on her $350 security deposit. Management stated they were using the money to clean for new tenants when the room was left spotless before she moved all our family helped out and made sure everything was left in great condition. Shame on this management team we are absolutely disgusting with the way they handled this situation. Texas law (§92.103) requires the landlord to return the deposit or provide an itemized list of deductions within 30 days she did not receive either.

Never written a bad review until this moment. 2.5 stars is 2.5 too many for a place and management like this. I had been waiting over two months to receive some of my deposit back from here. Called 4 or 5 times and would get told that I would hear from someone just to get no call or feedback. They will give you the runaround every single time. Finally, I go into my old login to see that they had wiped away my entire deposit the very first day I moved out. Coincidentally, the "damages" matched my deposit to the very last dollar. I have lived in many apartments, as most of us have, and have never not received money back. While the amenities and apartment itself is modern, management and greed will always hold this place back.
