Mesa Creek Apartments

I moved into these apartments last year and have absolutely loved my time here. The apartments are in excellent condition, are well maintained; and the property is generally quiet, clean, has a homely feel, and is in a great location. What has really made my experience here great though has been the management. The apartment manager Angelica has been fantastic! I have had no major issues or concerns since I have been here but Angelica has been super friendly and attentive every time I have interacted with her. She made the move-in process incredibly easy, and since I’ve lived here has been very responsive to any questions or needs that I have had. I've lived at Mesa Creek Apartments for just under eight years, which honestly says a lot -- because when I first moved to Bakersfield, I only planned to stay here for 2-3 years... maybe 5 at the most. Now I'm coming up on 8 years and still happy to call this place home. A huge part of that is the staff. Our current apartment manager, Angelica, is truly one of the best managers we've had during my time here -- and that's saying something, because we've had several really good ones. I recently applied for an apartment through Angelica, who said she was the manager. At first, she told me they do not check credit and only need a tax forms. Based on that, I went to the tax office and paid a lot of money to get my past three years of tax returns just to complete the application. After I gave her the security deposit check, she later called me in a rude tone and said my application was denied because of my credit and income. That was very confusing, because she had clearly told me earlier that credit was not required. I also explained that my income is more than enough and that she could review my bank statements, but she refused. I honestly don’t care about getting this apartment — there are many other places in the neighborhood that don’t make things so complicated. Wh

I've been living here for about for a couple of years and the manager Angelica is great. She is very fair or if you have an maintenance issue she takes care of it in a timely manner. I would recommend Mesa Creek apartments.

⭐️ I wish I could give 0 stars. During our time living here, our vehicles were repeatedly broken into, our license plates were stolen, and the final straw was when our tires were taken. We reported each incident to management, yet nothing was ever done to address the issue. It’s incredibly frustrating and disheartening to have to constantly replace stolen or damaged property with no action or support from the management team. Imagine walking your children to the car for school, only to find it vandalized or missing parts—this became our reality. No one from management ever offered an apology or showed any effort to resolve or prevent these problems. Additionally, maintenance requests took an unreasonably long time to be completed, and interactions with the manager were often unpleasant.
