Maplewood Apartments

If I could give no stars I would. Maplewood apartments asked for a “ Holding fee” I went ahead and got a money order for $500 as requested by the property manager. Proceeded to tell me that if I decided not to get the apartment, then I forfeited my $500 holding fee. I have never tried to get an apartment that is income based, so I really didn’t know the process. The manager made me go through hoops, so I wouldn’t be able to get my money back. The manager kept giving me excuses on why I couldn’t get the apartment at the one I applied, but told me I could get one at their other properties, which was way out of my way, and she new that. She just didn’t want to rent to me and to keep my $500. At both properties the managers were completely rude and racist. They pick and choose who they

After 2 years as a resident I felt I had to say something about the staff at Maplewood. The office staff is always friendly, helpful and caring. They are professional and knowledgeable with just the right level of empathy for every situation that concerned me. The maintenance staff have been prompt and professional as well. They know what they are doing and how to do it quickly and with the least amount of time necessary. They work effectively with pride of place. The results are a very comfortable residence thanks to them. If there were more stars these people would achieve them also I am sure.

We have been here over 2 years. Karen the Manager runs a tight ship here, which is what i like, but sometimes she gets understandably overwhelmed . Nice little work out room and computer lab. Maintenance is always completed in a timely fashion. Yes this is apratment living, and it is income restricted. But if you do move in please remember one thing, a little common courtesy goes a long way. Oh yeah by the way, Michele the Asst.Mgr. also does a good job with things.

Don't even give this place a thought! Worst experience ever!!! They entered my apartment without any notification. I have an ESA dog. NOT EVEN CONCERNED ABOUT A DOG BEING ON THE PREMISES!!! AND IF SHE BIT SOMEONE, WHO WOULD BE AT FAULT!!!? YOU PUT ME AND MY DOG AT RISK, WHICH IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! DONE WITH THIS UNPROFESSIONAL BUNCH OF IDIOTS. Thankfully, we were safe and not at home at the moment. Now I am having panic attacks and am unable to even stay at my $1500 a month apartment!!!! Another important issue to point out again is the complete diregard for privacy and safety. If your rent is not paid exactly on the 1st, they put a notice on your door the very next day for everyone one to see, with your name and how much you pay. This is nobody's business. Actually the 5 stars are for Newcastle which managed the property for Lakewood Housing Authority before metrowest housing solutions..Maria and Helene were awesome
