We did not choose this appraisal company—our bank assigned them for a house we were purchasing in northern Maine, about three hours from their office. From the start, the experience was unprofessional and stressful. The company schedules for this area about once a month, but we were never informed of this. They promptly accepted the appraisal request. Weeks went by with no communication, even as our closing deadline approached.
