Main Street River Ranch Apartments

Since I can't find a separate listing for the shopping center, this review only speaks to that part of Main Street River Ranch. I love that Lafayette has a walkable neighborhood. There are a lot of cute shops and the restaurants smell fantastic as you walk by. There are a few things that always make me laugh when I'm here though: 1) The 7 1/2 mph speed limit 2) A crosswalk that leads you straight into a bush.

Pay attention to the poor reviews. I was excited about staying in such a great location while I search for a new house, however this place is a huge disappointment. It is so outdated and overpriced compared to newer and nicer places close by. Every week the trash is overflowing and smells terrible. The parking areas are full of trash and dog feces that are dried out and left for months. Pet owners also allow their animals to pee all around the parking areas, including on cars (I have personally witnessed this). The walls are thin and it is always a pleasure to know the exact show my neighbors are watching every night. The alarm system is faulty and goes off at all hours, including most recently at 0345 AM and there is no explanation or apology from management. My AC has gone out three time

I lived there for 2 years. Here's my take: Pros: Location - You can walk to a coffee shop, restaurants, pedestrian shopping spots, etc. Also, it's in the heart of Lafayette. Located 5-10 mins from everything. Responsiveness - Anytime things have needed fixing, I've had them repaired in a day or two. Space - For the price, I found the price per square foot was much better than other places offer. Gym / Country Club Membership - Included in your lease. City club is a great place for the gym and restaurant. Also, the parking for events such as Rhythms on the River. - Deposit and move in experience - I received about 90 percent of my deposit back after moving out. Also, to move in, I didn't need a credit score like other places required. If you can prove your income and it meets the criteria

Never had a place keep my deposit until now. Everything is falling apart here and held together by a thread. Charged me $180 for a tub resurfacing fee for 15 months of regular use. The floor on the thing was already worn and old. Maintainence is terrible. Cannot cook your own meals because ventilation is terrible and the extra sensitive smoke alarms will start blasting. All around rip off. Better off going to the nicer apts next to City Club.
