Luxor Gardens Apartments

This apartment complex is better than what people make it out to be. I have the best neighbors ever they’re willing to help me with anything I need the office is willing to work with you whether you’re going to be late on rent or needing assistance with anything else. The office throws events for Halloween, Fourth of July, etc. they also maintain lawn care.

I do not know how this place has any positive reviews. There is no management in the office for over 4 months. The building are dirty and in need of repairs that maintenance will not and cannot handle. The maintenance staff and corporate guy are incompetent. They came to "fix" our front door and ended up leaving us without a front door nob for over 24 hours. WE had to buy a knob and my husband ended up replacing it. They left it on a Thursday evening and left us with no door lock and no number to try and contact anyone. Totally unprofessional and unsafe! There are many other issues and if you want to know just ask me. I also have pictures to prove everything! They do not answer your maintenance requests, which there are plenty of. Horrible place to live. My boyfriend and his family lived there for over 10 years and they were treated like crap from management. There was mold growing in the bathroom and a smell coming from under the kitchen sink and his mom tried to get it fixed but no one would do anything about it. I got them outta there and into a way better area with her own house! So happy they don’t have to suffer anymore!!

When I moved into the neighborhood during the summer of 2014, Luxor Gardens was a fairly well-appointed middle-class neighborhood. But in the past year or so, a combination of ineffectual management and absentee Lakewood, New Jersey ownership has reduced the neighborhood to a blighted property. During the early days of my residency, I frequently forgot to lock and latch my door, and often fell asleep with the windows open. No more--I’ve actually added extra security devices to my apartment, at my own expense. I avoid carrying my trash out at night. I won’t invite relatives to visit, especially young ones, because of safety concerns. The Luxor promise of a “safe, quiet, and clean” environment is a farce.
