I have lived here at Hampton East Apts for almost thirteen years. I absolutely love my place. The apartment is spacious, the closets are hugh my kitchen is very large and I love sitting on my huge balcony enjoying the weather. My neighbors are the friendliest.

Before Lustine, my apartment experience was great; maintenance repairs were done on time, there was always someone in the rental office if I had a question and if I called the office, there was always someone to pick up during business hours. Ever since they purchased our buildings, everything has gone downhill. Maintenance repairs are barely done, and if so you need to chase them around for weeks; rental office manager is never in and calls are never returned. Took three weeks to look at a light socket. City-inspected fire hydrants in the main hallways have been missing since their expiration in march. Do yourself a favor, rent from somewhere else.

Lustine managed my apartment for around 6 months (May 2018 to November 2018, the most current management) and never have I been more appalled and disappointed by a company in my time as a tenant. They were fully aware of a bed bug situation in the complex and did nothing to prevent it from spreading to other units, mine included. Once I had them, they accepted no responsibility for this and threatened to evict me if I did not pay my rent in full despite my inability to stay in the unit while it was infested. This was just one of many, many issues with my unit. They will do anything they can to pass blame onto the tenant and charge you for every penny they think they can get from you. I would never even consider renting from this company again.

My first year was amazing! After that, things have declined, drastically. The building has a major pest issue and the mice are everywhere! If you ever need assistance you are out of luck because the phone at the main office never works or the staff doesn’t answer the calls. The resident coordinator, refuses to provide management contact information. This is incredibly unprofessional. And to end it all I was charged $300 for a lock out fee! During the day! And Charmaine refused to do a one time courtesy waiver as if I have not been an accommodating tenant.

I moved into my apartment right before Lustine became the management agency for the property. As a tenant living there before and after, I can attest to their professionalism and attention to service throughout the transition. Lustine was very responsive to my service requests, and made sure to communicate with me on a regular basis as service and renovations were occurring in the building. When it was time for me to move out-of-state for work, Lustine worked with me to make the move out process as seamless as possible. Overall, it was a very positive experience!
