LGI Homes - Atherstone

I live in Atherstone and we love it! Nice neighborhood quiet and I love that the homes are not right on top of each other like you find in the new subdivisions!

The worst of worst!!! Extremely poor quality throughout the entire house. New appliances falling apart. A FORREST of Nutsedge throughout the entire lawn!!! (Entire community effected). Took 4 weeks to get someone out to fix a brand new shower door (only fixed after because of constant calls). No help or support, office refuses to give out phone numbers. rude construction supervisor, etc!! Be aware of what you’re getting into with this HORRIBLE company!

Bought a house through them. The process was extremely easy although not painless.😂 My biggest and only issue thus far (which is kind of big) has been the poor planning when it comes to the drainage system that they’ve made for the houses. My ditch and backyards have standing water for sometimes a week after the rain, breeding mosquitos and bacteria. Residents have complained, and instead of going in and fixing the issues in its entirety because they can visibly see it’s a problem I think the company itself cared more about the sale of the houses and not the sale and health/comfortability of the residents. Our yard flood badly with a heavy rain, it’s just really tough to watch and be a part of. the photo is of me standing on the side of my yard two days after a moderator rain.

We visited this community months ago when looking for our first home, and I feel like I’ve given it enough time and still to this day I think about the sketchy car salesman vibes this community gave. I could almost see the script being memorized by the sales associates, it was really weird. And, compared to other new builds in this area, the price and quality was not really right. I remember the sales associate said “and if you agree to build with us TODAY right now, we will lock in this price and only require $5k down!, but unfortunately this is a one time deal” I found it rather unethical to use this pressure sales tactic, especially when the primary clientele are first time home buyers, who are learning about the home buying process for the first time. But to each their own, I’m sure

We toured a home at Atherstone and ended up securing it same day and purchasing 30 days later. We loved the home, the layout, and growing community. We worked with Sam Riley and he was excellent, communicative and helpful every step of the way. He saw that all our requests were addressed prior to closing and stayed in constant communication. He was the epitome of customer service.
