I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but future renters deserve full transparency before signing a lease here. Our experience with the property management office has been extremely frustrating. The leasing team operates with very rigid policies and shows little willingness to work with residents facing legitimate life changes. We were required to relocate for work and approached management proactively to discuss options. We even found qualified applicants ready to sign a brand-new lease, which would have eliminated any vacancy for the unit. Despite this, management refused any alternative solution and insisted on enforcing the full lease break penalty — roughly over three months of rent plus prorated concession repayment. Extremely unprofessional and dishonest leasing practices. We found this apartment through their online listing, scheduled a tour, viewed the unit in person, and were told everything looked good. After that, we completed the entire application process, submitted all required documents, and signed the lease agreement in good faith. Only after everything was completed, we received a call stating that the unit was suddenly no longer available because the previous tenant decided to renew their lease. This is completely unacceptable. We were also told that the previous tenant was already past the standard 30-day renewal window, yet management still allowed them to “force” a renewal and cancel our signed lease. Living at Leya Apartments has been a fantastic experience for our little family! The entire Leya team is outstanding: friendly, highly responsive, and transparent in every interaction. A huge thank you to the stellar leasing team—Theresa (Community Manager), Eric (Assistant Manager), Christine, and Emily—for consistently going above and beyond. We also deeply appreciate the maintenance crew, Derrick, Israel, and Jose. They are quick, efficient, and ensure our community is safe and clean every single day. This December marks one year of living at Leya for my family. We previously lived at Aya since 2020, and when management changed there in June 2024, things went downhill fast. The property managers we trusted left Aya and came to Leya, and that’s a big reason we decided to move. From day one, the property managers here have made everything smooth and easy. We’ve been working with Eric and Theresa since 2020, and our experience with both of them has always been nothing short of pleasant. They are consistent, helpful, and truly care about residents, which made our move to Leya feel right. We haven’t had too many service requests, but the maintenance team has been great. Beautiful apartment complex. Very clean. I was worried I would hear neighbor noise since it was an apartment building like hotel halls but I don’t hear any noise. All of my neighbors are nice, respectful and professional. Beautiful Mountain Views from my balcony. Christine was amazing throughout the move in process. She didn’t even hesitate to let me tour other unit models even after I already signed for my apartment. Unlike other apartment complexes or businesses, the staff don’t neglect you after they take your money and get you in, Leya staff stay helpful since I been here in December and treat you very good.
