Lennar at Rivington

Lennar is one of the worst builder companies you could ever deal with. They do not care about their customers at all. We visited the Rivington community in DeBary and found a home we really liked, but it hadn’t been officially released yet. We asked for pricing and were told the home was $403,000, but if we signed, Lennar could bring it down to $386,000. We agreed immediately and were ready to move forward. When we sat down with Sommer, she suddenly said they “couldn’t do that” and claimed we were “off by a few numbers.” We decided to speak with another loan officer, who confirmed that we were qualified based on the numbers provided. As an existing homeowner through a different builder in the Rivington neighborhood, I cannot comment on the quality of Lennar homes…but I did want to note the superior customer service I have received from Dixie (project manager of the construction for Lennar in this neighborhood). I’m sure it’s never fun for an existing homeowner to have construction going on all around, but Dixie was kind enough to leave a letter on the doorstep with an email address and phone number for us to contact if there are any problems. It also provided timing expectations for when the contractors would be here working. By far the worst customer service experience, I have ever had , if you are looking for a bad quality built houses combined by a pushy builder agents with the worst communication skills ever and a bad management who does not care about their clients , this is the builder to choose .

Do NOT be fooled by the bright colors and shiny pictures on the website. Lennar is a company that simply wants to make money quickly by erecting houses that are akin to a house of cards. Besides putting together an inferior product, Lennar cares nothing for the people who are actually living in the areas where they are building. The Rivington “community” in Debary has been overrun with subcontractors who care nothing for the residents who already live here. Lennar’s so called “project managers” allow their subcontractors to run amuck leaving pallets of sod in front of homes, large trucks with trailers across residents’ driveways, and cement trucks barreling through residential streets with no regard for people walking their dogs or pushing strollers.
