Lennar at Hunters Pointe

Y'all be careful buying those Lennar Homes! If you do buy one, hire a 3rd party inspector during building of your house, or have it inspected again right before your warranty expires, especially for water damage. Our home was built in 2021 and unfortunately our warranty has expired. The problem is a toilet flange/wax ring that was installed incorrectly. You can see in the photos that the wax ring was never touched by the toilet so there was never a sear between the two. Well that's a problem that won't identify itself right away. And after talking to Lennar Customer Care, there is nothing they're willing to do to help us out. A $500k+ investment and they don't stand behind it, even when professional plumbers classify this as a builder fault. So it's gonna cost us around $7k. I would never

Be very careful buying from Lennar. Please research this company online and look into the reviews of prior homebuyers and the experiences of homebuyers who have lived in their homes. You can even look on reddit and you will see tons of stories all with the same storyline. Homebuyers paid earnest money in good faith, only for things to 'get weird' on the part of Lennar and the buyers being forced to walk away from thousands of dollars. Some stories even talk about walking away from $14,000-15,000 in earnest money. If you look into other builders the earnest money is usually refundable, but Lennar's is NOT according to their contract. This is a HUGE red flag, even acknowledged by some real estate agents!
