Lake Villa Apartments

I would rate this zero stars if I could. We were told that our apartment would be done. Moved states to come here to idaho and the apartment wasnt ready. We were gracious enough to wait another week and payed for 600-800 dollars on hotels expecting for it to be ready. We went the last stay We could afford at our hotel and went to go see her. She said it wasnt done yet, but if we wanted to see the apartment still we could see what progress has been made. So we checked. We went in and not one thing looked to be done. There was the dish washer pulled out of the wall, with wires everywhere, the flooring still was not installed when we had been told it would be done 3 weeks prior. Smudges all over the windows, a screen door missing, machines everywhere and dirt all over the floor. Keep in mind

Seems like a very well managed apartment complex with individual storage units, covered parking, and on-site maintenance.

I have nothing but good things to say about Lake Villa. Management is great! The grounds keepers do such a nice job keeping the grass green in the summer time and snow plowed/shoveled in the winter time. It’s a safe place to live. If anything needs fixed or replaced, they take care of it in a timely manner. The flowers are beautiful and having 2 pools is a bonus! Affordable rent even with recent increases. Good luck finding a 2 bedroom for under $1000 a month anywhere! There’s a lengthy wait list but it’s worth it. People want to live here! That says a lot in my opinion. I personally enjoy living here. 🤗

I don't get all these negative reviews. This place is awesome! I've now lived here for 7 years. In that time I've gotten married, and have a young son, and at no time have we received backlash for having a child, as some of these reviewers would have you believe is commonplace. My advice if you do have a young energetic child is get a first floor unit. Noise problem solved! Also, my experience with management has been nothing but wonderful. Any issues we've had (and I can really only think of 1 or 2 in 7 years) have been solved quickly and effectively. This place has free basic cable, 2 pools, a gym, sauna, spa and a well maintained club house, and you just can't beat the rent! There's a reason this place has a waiting list. There's a lot of negative feedback on this place, but overall it's a decent setup. The grounds are excellent and feel very removed from the city. There are lots of trees and even wildlife in the area. The outdoor common space is really nice. Rent is cheap and management is responsive and reasonable! The apartments are not top of the line, but they're quite functional!
