I have worked with Ryan Colbert on several real estate transactions and I've never worked with a better mortgage lender, and as a real estate agent, I've worked with many. Ryan is so thorough, knowledgeable, great about matching people with the best mortgage products, and goes above and beyond to help people realize their real estate goals! I can't recommend him enough!

I am not sure how well this company actually is but I HIGHLY recommend NOT going through or using Adam Long as your MLO at this company. The way he treated my mother was unacceptable!!! He was rude, refused to talk on the phone, would screen calls and text back "what do you want?". I worked the mortgage industry for 5 years and NEVER seen or heard of a MLO treating anyone this way. I am appalled at the way he treated her, escepecailly since she has mental health issues. I truly hope Lake Area Mortgage monitors his work going forward as NOBODY should be treated the way he treated this transaction.

Applied online, provided all requested data, mult days before receiving communications, AL asked many of the questions that I spent time entering online, OK but my voice said "attention to detail and task ownership seems missing" ... I verbally provided the redundant info, waited, extended periods of no communication (would give the appearance that my business was not a priority), then came the unfreezing of Credit Bureau accounts (I explained that since all my data had been compromised from theirs data breach) I would temp unfreeze for a day, that came and went then excuses why your hard hits on my accounts where having issues (even thought showing obtained online Factual Data, mult times). Finally agreed to leave unfrozen for weekend until Mon, Mon comes and receive and email again claim

Joe and his team were great to work with for my home purchase. Everything went very smoothly. They responded to questions in a timely manner, reached out if they needed anything, and made what is usually a stressful process very easy. I would highly recommend this lender!

When we were struggling with the process, he called us on a Friday night and spent an hour speaking to us, until we felt confident and clear in what was going on.
