e-street Flats Student Housing

Essentially, you get what you pay for. The rooms are basically dorm rooms with kitchenettes. Some issues we encountered with living here: - the hot water would randomly go out without notice (One time, for 24 hours without any statement from management), and it’s pretty annoying to come back home after a long day to find out you can’t take a shower and no one knows why the hot water is out. - the studio apartments feel cramped, and no matter how hard we tried, we couldn’t get the musty smell out of the room until we discovered right before we moved out that mold had been growing on the walls. - despite being a smoke-free building, the hallways and elevators constantly smelled like weed. - The ac and heating system was frustrating. No matter what we set the thermostat to, the temperatur

This place seems great, and from what I saw of the building it was well kept and had lots of study spaces in the common area. Kate was also nice. The one star is because the requirements listed in the application packet differ from their actual requirements. I was told it doesn't matter if I meet the 2.5 x rent income requirements, everyone must have a guarantor who makes 5x the rent. I've heard it's common for places to require that if you don't meet the requirements yourself, but I've never heard of it being the only option. Not only that, but it feels sneaky that it isn't laid out in the application or on their website. If it's your policy, say so in your materials. No need to hide.

E street is a great place to live. Lots of amenities for an amazing price (cheapest in the area). Convenient location being 10 minutes from the Twin Cities. Grayce is the best building manager ever!!! She puts our needs first and is extremely accommodating. Scott the maintenance tech is fast to fix any repairs; he even helped me jump my car with his own cables!! We have loved living here for the past 2 years, and will be sad to leave when our lease is up. Don’t hesitate—if there’s an opening, take it!

I’ve really liked living here, it’s mostly students and everyone is really respectful of quiet hours. Grayce responds to emails really quickly and maintenance is also really quick to fix anything that’s wrong. The rooms are nice and spacious, the lights are a little outdated but it’s not bad. Grayce does a really good job at setting up community events and sending out emails notifying of any changes. Overall, I’ve had a good experience living here and have really liked my apartment and how good the rent is for it.

I have been a resident of E-Streets coming up on four years now! I can't even tell you how much I love it here. The rooms are affordable, welcoming and beautiful. We have close proximity to Bethel, Northwestern, Traders and easy access to 35, 694 & 36. The property is well kept due to our awesome maintenance gal Amy. The property manager Chelsea is amazing as well. She responds quickly to emails, comments, concerns and questions. She hosts fun events for the students and she's always looking for something new to add to the space. For instance, we just got a little library which is great to study in. The gym is my favorite with all the basic bells and whistles for a great workout and I have even rented out both party rooms for events. This place is the bomb for students!
