Ladera Woods Apartment Homes

I toured Ladera Woods recently and wanted to share some thoughts that might help anyone considering this spot. First off, Melanie in the leasing office was so kind and welcoming. She was super helpful in answering our questions and even genuinely wanted to hear what we didn’t like—which I appreciated. Overall, I think this is definitely a livable place, just not the right fit for me and my partner, and here’s why: When we first arrived, we parked in the back and weren’t sure how to get to the leasing office. We were able to walk into any building without a key or code—everything was unlocked. Personally, that felt like a red flag. I came for a tour on Saturday and although I was late to my appointment because I got caught up at work the lady was nice enough to still show me around it seems like a very quiet and chill living place if you’re looking for a place to live I would encourage you to stop by. I was hesitant when looking at the reviews but not a lot of people will write positive reviews they only decide to give feedback when it is negative I’m glad I checked them out. The only thing I didn’t like is that the hallways look like a hotel but the apartment itself was nice.

I don't recommend that you live here at the laderaWoods. My number one frustration is that the manager never answers, !!!!!! it is impossible to communicate with them. Another is from now that I left they are charging me for the cleaning of the apartment when I left it clean i don’t see why she’s charging me $400 and apart from that $300 from the carpet cleaning when we also paid a person to clean it. And it turned out that When I contacted the manager, about what they we’re charging me she told me that I had to hire professional people. No people with a side job !!! I’m sure that what matters is that everything was left clean . I would totally understand if we left it dirty but that was not the occasion we really put a lot of our time to left it clean. I would highly recommend this fabulous community at Ladera Woods Apartments. The management team is dedicated and responsive to all of our concerns. The maintenance team goes above and beyond and provides wonderful service. We are grateful to have the opportunity to provide services to such a fine complex. Five Stars!

TLDR: overall a really crappy place Quality of Apartment: Well below average. Carpet was frayed with exposed nails. Cupboards don’t stay shut. Lots of spiders come in through the balcony and windows. Parking: Zero guest parking. Only one parking spot per apartment. Very limited street parking. Temperature of Apartment: Blazing hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. No AC, very limited airflow from only two windows, thin walls that let the outside temperature seep through. Only a wall heater in the living room to keep things warm in the winter. (I slept with 6 blankets in the winter, and in the summer I was seriously concerned for my dog’s health during the day.)
