La Esplanada Apartments

My boyfriend lives here and sent his lease renewal agreement before it was due. The guy who runs the place never sent back the official “lease agreement” (which he was supposed to do) for him to sign. So, my boyfriend assumed he did all he had to do. Months later, he realized he was charged a month to month base rent ($200 more than the original price signed in the lease). The leasing guy declares since he didn’t receive the official lease signage, that he is paying month to month. He refuses to admit that he did not follow his next steps in sending the official contract to get more money, essentially. My boyfriend used to like this guy and the apartment a lot so this is really disappointing

I was overcharged for rent two months in a row. Management offered no help fixing the issue or reimbursing me. The complex, and residents are very nice. Doug was extremely rude to me over the phone. After reading the response from the owner I have lowered my review down to 1 star. Owner refuses to take accountability for not sending me lease in timely manner.

I spent a year at La Esplanada Apartments and it was a great one. The management and maintenance staffs were always accountable, personable, and helpful. The units are also well designed, functional and a number of them include great views of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. You're located close to the 51 highway so you can get anywhere in town pretty quickly. And lastly, the tenants are responsible and mature. It's a nice place to live and I highly recommend checking it out if you're in Phoenix or plan on moving there.

If you’re going to spend almost $1,600 on a one bedroom, go to the many newer complexes charging the same. Everything is old at this complex, from old baseboards, to re-covered laminate countertops, which look horrible, old bath sinks with rust, appliances that are scratched up, old carpet, old uninsulated windows, grounds that are barely taken care of, green hot tub and dirty pool, dying bushes and trees and on and on. Go to a newer complex where the owners care!!

Besides the place getting too expensive like everywhere in az. Great complex great area. Doug in the front office was always very helpful
