We just had Kurk Homes build a 4000 square-foot custom home on our lot, and as far as homebuilding goes, it went pretty smoothly! The home is stunning and we get compliments on it all the time, from both people who come over to visit as well as people who have just driven by and seen it. People constantly told us that building a home can be one of the toughest things on a marriage but I beg to differ! Aside from some minor hiccups along the way, they provided all of the assistance needed to help us make decisions that varied from engineering to interior and exterior design. We began the design process in late December 2016, the slab was poured in late May 2017, and we moved in late February 2018. It took over two weeks to get a response, when the other two Custom Home Builders took less than a week. I emailed and within a minute I was told they came up with $425 a square foot. The gallery of homes they build are in the range of 200-250 a square foot. Sounds like they want to sell fewer homes a year and make an extremely large profit margin. Look around, at $425 there are much better builders available.

Kurk Homes was wonderful to work with from beginning to end. Buying land, designing our home, building process and moving in is all a stressful process but they explained everything step by step they gave us honest and realistic expectations and exceeded them. Our builder Peter was wonderful to work and we felt truly taken care of and that he cares about our home as if it were his own. After moving in Ben was our warranty contact, thankfully we only had to contact him a few times and he responded quickly and took care of us. Our microwave went out right after the warranty expired and Ben got us a new one and personally drove an hour to deliver it to us during all the quarantine time. I highly recommend Kurk Homes to anyone ready to build their dream home!

We had our home on Lake Livingston built by Kurk Homes in 2011 and we are very happy with its quality. Many years later, we are thankful that Kurk Homes offers a 20 year structural warranty. We had an issue with one of our foundation tension cables, and we contacted Chris McGinley with Kurk Homes. Chris remembered us, which it was impressive, and he took quick action to have the cable inspected and then replaced. We were impressed and thankful to Chris on behalf of Kurk Homes for their excellent customer service honoring their warranty. Kurk does a great job, very happy with the overall process. Owners Chris and Melanie, and their whole team including our supervisor of construction Oscar are top notch people who take care of customers with integrity and attention to detail. Their homes are well built and beautiful.
