King Arthur Westmont Apartments

I have lived here for 3 years now and just renewed my lease for another year. I plan to stick around for a while because not only is this the most affordable place I can find within 25 miles of my work, but the apartments are bigger than most (at least my 1 bedroom is at 740 sq ft) and they have hardwood floors. The owner/office staff are pleasant and send out maintenance quickly to fix anything necessary (although I rarely need maintenance). It is a quiet, undisruptive place to live. My only major complaint is that I hear cars driving by all night because my building is next to 55th Street. **Update: I have now been here for 7 years. This year, a new manager took over. I am going to on my 3rd year here and I absolutely love it! It’s in a great location in Westmont. A 2 min drive to the train station! But this apt complex is soooo quiet! They have an awesome 9 ft in-ground pool that I live at in the summer! I have recommended this place for many reasons! I have great neighbors, it’s very quiet, anytime there’s a maintenance issue they are at my door in 10 min (always) doesn’t matter the time of day or night, as well as 2 parking spots per apt and it’s set back and almost surrounded by trees. Smith woods park is right next door! My landlord is also very friendly! Shout out to the pretty lady in the office who takes rent payments… she’s the sweetest!

Reasonable and good pricing so is a good trade off for being a little out of date. Small washers in basement at $3.00 to completely a small to medium load. Maintenance is fast and the office gets back to you soon. Main complaint: THIS IS NOT A NON-SMOKING building. I didn’t know these existed still. It wasn’t a problem for 4 years until around the time a new neighbor moved in below me so you may have more luck than me. Now, the foul odor is leaking into my apartment and poisoning me and my pets. Many residents also smoke near your window/door so odor will get in. They are very nice and friendly otherwise (same for staff— both the smoking and friendliness). Maintenance has attempted to seal things off but it was all they could do, so it still gets in. Otherwise, 4 stars.

I have lived here in a very generously sized studio apartment since 2016 and I have a hard time thinking of any complaint I have with it. I haven't needed any maintenance since moving in, but for the little issues that one of my neighbor had a few years ago I know they respond extremely quickly and resolve things just as fast. The management are all really friendly, pleasant people, and every interaction I've had with them has been great! The rent is the most affordable of any of the apartment options in at least a 20 mile radius, and even with the tiny increase of $15 over the years remains the most affordable. I love having the hardwood floors, and for a studio the way it is laid out makes it feel just as cozy and well put together as any other apartment with bedrooms does. Neighbors her

I have lived here almost 3 years and as far as apartment living goes, this place is great. You can't beat the price and all that is included. The community is safe and friendly. The staff is super accommodating and professional. Especially Linda. The pool in the summer is a great bonus. This is the cleanest place I've ever rented.
