I moved into an Invitation Home rental in June 2025. Within 2 weeks, my family was experiencing respiratory issues. I emailed my leasing agent Kathi Gaston several times, noting there is an odd smell causing us unusual dry eyes, super dry nose and coughing and asked if someone can call me back. They don’t leave you a phone number and she never responded. We have had 6 documented colds since including severe dry nostrils for my 2 year old. They perform bi-annual inspections and visit a few months later but still did not address the worsening smell. In January, I filed a maintenance request for a toilet leaking from the underside. The next day the leak had covered two bedrooms and was coming up from both bathroom tubs and Cat 3 sewage was spilling into hallways. I had to call 10 times to get

UPDATE 12/17/25 After 3 trips out here for repairs, our roof is STILL leaking. Was scheduled for drywall repair tomorrow 12/18/25 for where it was originally and STILL leaking and for wet spots in our dining room area. Called the company contracted to do the work to cancel that and instead they are coming out for a 4th time to do MORE PATCHWORK. Not sure why Invitation Homes does not want to spend the money to fix the issue once and for all. In addition, they had someone come out and put new gutters on the house which seems backwards to me to do that before actually fixing the roof. As a renter we are REQUIRED to have Renter's Insurance to protect our property but the company can't even do their due diligence to make the proper repairs to THEIR property so that we don't have to worry

I went to view one of there homes for a second time before signing a lease with them and there was a trail of ants, dead bugs inside, pee on the toilet, glass and ashes in the back yard, the side gate was broken, the master sink was leaking. I asked them to address these issues before moving in and they ghosted me. So thankful I didn’t rent with them after seeing all the reviews.

I have been a tenant with IH for a little over a year. I reached out to the leasing office to get some preliminary information about the lease renewal process and Tammy Haskins was absolutely phenomenal! She was friendly, professional, and answered every single question we had. Additionally, she provided some additional information about the renewal process that will be extremely helpful when the time comes to ensure we continue to get the best renewal terms available. Great customer service has become something that is very rare, so when I experience top notch service, I always like to take the time to give kudos where they are due! I’ve had plenty of great interactions with IH staff in our time as tenants, but my interaction was Tammy exceeded my expectations. Keep up the great work, Tam

Savannah S, a supposed supervisor for Invitation Homes was not only extremely rude and evasive, but directly lied to me multiple times over the phone. From the moment she picked up, she had an attitude with me about the situation at hand. This reflects very poorly on the employee, her supervisor Kelly R, (whom I am still waiting to speak with regarding these actions) and the company. Furthermore, Invitation Homes as a whole is taking illegal action in California for charging damages caused by a break in while residents no longer resided there.
