STAY AWAY DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. Rented a garage from Hulson for 6 and a half years, and they were acceptable for the first 2-3 years, but they then began to raise the rent yearly despite not spending a single dollar on the garage. Ended up at $100 more a month by the end, for a small 2 car garage. They are terrible at communication and have to be emailed and contacted multiple times before anyone answers days later. Then there’s the property owner Scott Roland who is an absolute slumlord who refused to fix the walk in door to the garage that had a rotting and bug infested frame that was letting rain, bugs, and wind through the frame. By the time we moved out I’m surprised the door didn’t just fall over on to the ground. Hulson and Scott were contacted about this door many many times inclu
Was paying for other tenants electricity and they encouraged me to"just pay for it" prior to the investigation that the electric company conducted wherein meter sharing was determined. Subsequently my calls were not returned in an effort to correspond regarding the issue and I was treated like a nuisance even though I was getting billed hundreds of dollars in electric that I wasn't using, any other issues brought to their attention were dismissed or addressed with minimal effort the guy Alex is condescending and disrespectful and doesn't return calls doesn't do what he says hes going to do and does act as a proper middle man insofar as finalizing any issues that require him go directly deal with the actual property owner. After 5 months of a runaround and assurance things would be handles
Initially I thought moving here would be amazing since the units had been built within the last 2 years, however, that was not the case. We were the first and only African American family that lived in the community, and we were treated as such. The leasing office worker was kin to my neighbor, (I’ve seen her make personal visits and address her on a personal basis), who constantly made up false claims, conspiring with some of our other neighbors as well. My white neighbor left trash and a mattress in front of her home for 2.5 months in which the leasing office accused me of leaving it there, and continued to allow it to stay put until I complained via emails. It was in violation of the lease, and I was threatened to be charged if I didn’t have it removed although it wasn’t ours. Photos a
There are plenty of property managers in York and Adams, and I suggest you go anywhere but here. My first experience with them was when I dropped off my security deposit and first month's rent, the woman taking the money argued with me that it wasn't enough. The money orders were sitting right in front of her. I had to treat her like a Kindergartener and get out a calculator and point out every single money order, then she laughed and processed the money. The day before move-in I get to the property to let the gas company in. The place still had multiple things there from the previous tenants, mouse droppings all over the kitchen and in the cabinets, and broken light fixtures and door knobs. I call to question this, and they completely blew me off. I cleaned and tried to repair as much a
We rented a townhouse in McSherrystown from Hulson Homes for just a few months. They were friendly and easy to deal with. Dave always returned my phone calls and texts in a reasonable fashion. They facilitated us moving short notice to accommodate being in a new place before my wife's due date. Any issues with the townhouse were dealt with promptly. They are easy to work with and fair with pricing. When another possibility came available that better fit our families needs they worked with us to facilitate that move. I would rate them 5-stars, but the apartments are old and could use some updating. Overall they are good apartments and nice people to deal with.
