A big NO. It's not just this public office in Big Spring. It's all of them. Always the rudest and most unhelpful people.

Make sure you know exactly what you’re needing to search and purchase here and DO NOT rely on their help. They take zero responsibility in their mistakes. I needed to purchase tax certificates and the only information I had to go off was the tract descriptions of land that I needed the said certificates for. I was told I needed “Account ID Numbers” and that I could get those next door at the CAD office. I go to the CAD office and two ladies assist me in finding the Account IDs I need. I would read them the Tract descriptions, and they would search and read back to me the Account IDs associated with each Tract. I even had the Tract descriptions written down for them to search. So once I have these IDs, I take them to the tax office where I’m told I would have to wait over 3 days. Ok, fine.

This office should upgrade its payment system by providing website and online or phone payment options. I am not a local resident and finding it inconvenient to visit the office just to make a payment and receive a receipt for my taxes. It's time to move beyond the traditional payment methods.

They always handle crazy situations so well. Very knowledgeable and helpful and never a line. I go in dozens of times a year with weird old cars and they rock every single time.

Regardless of the activity of this office no one answers the phone. I have been dialing for two days. This is the most inefficient government office I have ever tried to contact. At the end of numerous rings you simply get disconnected.
