Housing Authority of Lancaster

Honestly, when I first moved her with my 3 kiddos, roughly a year ago, I didn't expect much. I assumed this would be just a place for me and my kids to lay our heads. Never did I think we would make friends, and under no circumstances did I think friends would soon become family. Fortunately, I was wrong! I have no problems letting my kids go out to play because everyone looks out for each other. The office staff is always helpful; specifically Ms. Allison Cooke, Director of Housing Services and Residential Opportunity Support Services. Ms. Cooke has been nothing sort of amazing for my family! She is knowledgeable and has resources to share for most any situation. Ms. Cooke was able to arrange summer camp opportunities for the children. My son really enjoyed cooking camp at Southern Dish

The staff here are excellent at what they do. The residences know the rules, and if they litter, or cause obscenity, the consequences will be enforced. To say residences are breaking rules, while staff turns their heads the other way, is an insanely false accusation. I see no supportive pictures and no proof of action taken to support 1 star reviews.

Rude beyond measures. Went down there 3 times this week to get an application and every time I went it was another story. Maxine Hagwood needs to be fired. She needs to find a job where it's acceptable to be a bougie, disrespectful, creature; Instead of being in any position to attempt to help someone trying to find a home. Customer service is not her forte whatsoever and she shouldn't be the first face you she when you walk into housing authority if anything she should be the last.

I am thankful for the lady's and men at LHA. One for giving me a place restart out on my own. I will I feel safe here but some of there tenants are some of the rudeist and nasty set of neighbors I have ever came across. They leave trash on the porch, throw food and hot grease out by the doors. They have respect for the place that they are blessed to have or to live. and a lot of them will tell you that they don't have to stay there if that be the case then why did you apply for the place in The first beginning. Like I said this is a stepping stone for me to be a housing again and I know God has a better plan for me and going to bless me out of the housing but I am thankful for the people. Need some up grades

They need a whole new staff. They sit around talking about people, treating them any kind of way and doing whatever they want. Ms.Johnson tying to tell me I didn’t pay my rent but I got my whole deposit back🙄
