Find another inspection company. Not only did our inspector miss major issues in our home inspection, but the company was nearly impossible to get a hold of and they pathetically backtracked to try to claim that they were not at fault for their mistakes. They claimed that they knew my township’s code and included specifics in our report about things that did not meet code in the house. However, after moving in and discovering faulty/leaky gas pipes that were not up to code, they then claimed that they did not need to know code to try to let themselves off the hook. We were left with the bills for issues that we could have had resolved before settlement even occurred had House Inspect caught the problem. HouseInspect was great all the way around. They were courteous on the phone whilst scheduling the inspection, they were fast, professional and thorough during the inspection itself and then they sent us the report within 2 days of completing the inspection (it probably would have been sooner if we didn't have the Radon gas inspected). I would recommend them to anyone who is buying a home or having one inspected.

After receiving a thorough home inspection from Blaine on site, we were a bit surprised to see that what was reflected on paper was not what he told us in person moments before. Scratches in the hardwood floor resulted in a POOR rating, the lowest on his scale. Our mortgage company saw their own description as essentially uninhabitable. This happened with numerous items. It ended up resulting in my financing falling through and me having to start over with another mortgage company. It cost me a lot of money and a lot of time. We used House Inspect four times - once on our house we were selling to get an idea of what needed to be done before putting it on the market and three times while looking for our new home. Each time they were prompt, courteous and professional. They review the houses thoroughly and let you know where the problems are. While looking for a home, they inspected two prospective houses for us. They saw numerous problems, most of which were completely out of sight to the untrained eye. They saved us from buying a home we would have had major problems with - thank you! Definitely recommend them.
