Hope Meadows/Habitat For Humanity

I took Veterans Day off and volunteered half of my day with Habitat on this project! They are doing great work and building really efficient homes for people with low incomes. I learned that the homes are not free and the people who get them still need to pay a mortgage. Some contractors are used but a lot of the labor is supplemented by volunteers. It is a great cause. It is easy to sign up to volunteer!!

Habitat is a favorite of mine for sure. Christian organization that is helping people fulfill their dreams of home ownership. What is not to love? The staff are also amazing!! Lydia? 💕 She's the best. Looking forward to the next opportunity to volunteer.

I love this non profit! Doing amazing work, and the people are always SO friendly! I really enjoyed getting to know a few of the volunteers, and learned a bit about flooring. Will volunteer again!

I've volunteered there many times over the past 7+ years. It's wonderful to see the neighborhood developing. So many young kids playing together.
