Made a deal with agent Shirley Velasco to purchase a home that recently dropped in price by 10k. We verbally agreed on a cash price about 2% less than her asking price. She sends a contract for me to sign within a few hours but with the sellers name “YiYi Construction and Processing”. Apparently she also owns this business. This name is different from the county records for this property so I inquired about this. She tells me that the county had not changed it yet but it is recorded at the county clerk. Seems shady to me so I ask to meet with her the following day to go over the contract and make arrangements for the deposit. She agrees to meet at the title company.
