Hometown Property Management

I wish I had read the reviews first on this property. My husband and I applied for a home on Cool Water ln in Post Falls. We could not view the home without submitting an application, in which we did this past weekend. If your credit score is below 675, they increase your deposit. Mine was 659 but we passed everything else. No bankruptcies, extensive time at our current employment, no criminal history at all, etc. That said: we got an email tonight around 4pm stating we are approved to move in but have to pay $3,675 deposit on a $2,200/month home. In addition, we have to agree to this by 8 AM tomorrow morning or they move on to the next applicant. Roughly 16 hours from the time the email was sent until they move on to the next applicant. Just want to say I've never ever worked with a property management, nor a landlord as kind and willing to work with you in a hard spot. They all have just been so gracious to me. Times are hard in our area and most property managers and landlords don't seem to care about their tenants. But, I can't say that about this company. They might have some rules, but they are there for our safety, the company and property. So thankful for this company! I'd give 5 stars if I could!! It's a safe clean place to live and I am blessed! 😄😊🌟🌟🌟🌟🤩

Terrible. I have no other words to describe my feelings about this property manager. We have lived in a unit managed by them for 6 months (unfortunately have 6 more) we really love the place and the location but the managers are hard to work with. We had to deal with a broken mailbox for months only for the owner to have to fix it as they were not willing. We also have quarterly inspections that they have come in and broke our belongings and didnt mention anything just left. If I owned properties, I would avoid using this manager and I would avoid being a tenant.

Honestly I'm the kind of person who only leaves a review if I love or if I hate the service. This company is reported to be a North Idaho company but they out service their phones which is VERY frustrating. I want to talk to a person who lives here locally, who knows the information. Also they require you to pay their application fee before you can even view the house which is completely ridiculous. Change your policies because your business model is terrible and the poor quality shows. *Update: gosh I wish I could leave zero stars. You have to pay a non refundable application fee and be first in line. It's a complete scam. I can't imagine how much money they make on collecting application fees and never even talking to you. Giving 1 star as zero stars was not an option. Worst rental experience we have ever had. Gave the home back in better condition both inside and out (see pics) than we received it only to be nickel and dimed for normal wear and tear. Lived there the entire time without light in the front room because we were made to feel that repairing would be a hardship for the owner. We choose to just do without out of concern for the owner only to be told that "there's a charge for that" when a single screw in one of the cabinet hinges was loose. In addition we completely (with our own money) re-did the flower bed. The thank you? No refund. But even better, they sent me a bill for 100 that they think they are due after all the "damage" and 'repairs" were tallied. We could go on and on but can o
