The fact that UHM has a loan product that allows me to buy a lot of land + close on a construction of a new build in one loan is amazing. If I could give this company zero stars then I absolutely would. If you have any sense, stay as far away from Union Home Mortgage as you can. Especially Gwendolyn. My wife and I chose to go through Union Home Mortgage for our construction loan. At the beginning of our loan, our builder was offering a 4% concession towards the price of the home. While filling out our application for the mortgage, we spoke with Gwendolyn. We inquired about using the 4% concession towards closing costs opposed to just taking it off the sale price. We were unaware if this could be done so we were looking for guidance from Union Home Mortgage and placed our trust in their knowledge (terrible idea).
