Will not return our calls regarding the shotty inspection missing thousands of dollars worth of repairs. Enough we would have easily offered 10-15 thousand less after what we have found from hired contractors. Eric performed the inspection and now owns the business buying it from Gary. Gary wants to refund our inspection fee without any questions but this doesn’t resolve the actual issue, the lost money paying for work that was passed by the inspection. We had an inspection by HES. Eric was the inspector. He spent less than 1 hour at the house due to the owners only giving an hours time to do so. He missed many problems that other contractors saw and asked why it wasn't caught at the inspection. When we complained Gary sent us a check back without any contest. He assumed blame. $385 doesn't cover the extra $10,000 we offered on the house due to believing that our best interest was taken care of. We called back 3 more times over 2 months to try and get in touch with Gary. He did not respond. Then a Google review was left about this. That's when he called back saying that because a Google review was left that he was not going to be willing to negotiate a solution. He also said that they are not responsible for anything they miss

We had the fortune of working with Gordie for the home inspection on our first house. He was incredibly informative throughout the entire process, taking the time to check our understanding and answer questions. In areas that did need work, he provided timelines and priorities so that we could make informed decisions on repairs. He also took the time to show us the locations and proper use for all shut off valves and important functional features of the existing systems in the house. Gordie was professional, knowledgable, and a complete joy to work with. We chose HES based on a recommendation from a friend, and they also said they were very impressed with Gordie's thoroughness and attention to detail. We had been searching around online and were given a handful of brochures by our real estate agent. Trying to figure out which business to choose was the hard part. Online reviews seemed to be lacking for many of the businesses so we went with this one based off of the certifications listed. My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised with Gary, as he did a fantastic job with the inspection. As first-time home buyers we had asked to be present for the inspection. Not only was he more than welcoming to have us there at the time, he went above and beyond to explain the different features of the home. When we had a question, it was met with a full explanation. There were even times where he had asked US questions and if we weren't sure he'd answer them to ensure we knew what we needed to.
