Hillside Residences

I love my apartment, building, and the Boston Property Management team! They're always professional and gracious. Today I saw many maintenance team members cleaning the inside and outside of the building and thought how fortunate I am to live here. The building is just three years old and very well designed with excellent amenities, including a fabulous roof deck. I really enjoy living here!

When I moved in there were ants just everywhere and pet hair coming out from some crack (I kept vacuuming, it kept reappearing). I don’t have pets but when I brought it up to the manager they said there was nothing they could do even after I had photo proof. We later had a flooding incident in the apartment, with no aid from management in addition to a faulty drum that affected the kitchen sink. The floor paneling was peeling by our washer and dryer and upon moving out I had someone take over the lease and was pressured by management via email to cover the “new tenant cost” even though the lease had nothing to do with me as I was moving out. I found everything about the place to be unprofessional and disappointing. Would not recommend to a friend.

Despite the other reviews, I have found the property management team to be far superior to any other I've had in Boston as a 10 year apartment renter. They have been super responsive to any issues I've had which have been minimal and are actually super helpful. The building itself is great!

We were the first tenants to move into our unit. The unit was rushed in it’s construction with no caulking anywhere, missing vents, and cracked walls. The lobby flooded several times in one year. And upon move out we asked if we could paint the apartment back to its original color but they didn’t know the color. Instead, they tried to charge us $980. Otherwise the units are relatively quiet and the rooftop has nice views. Easy access to the train if needed.

Do not move here! This place looks nice but once you move in the apartments are in poor condition. We discovered mold in our washing machine, our kitchen sink fell out of the island, there’s always urine in the elevator, and dog poop in the stairwell. The rent is too high for the quality of this building. It’s not worth the money. There are plenty of other places to live in the area.
