Highland Ridge Apartments

This apartment complex was a very nice place 5 years ago until up reality took over. Since then everything went downhill. They installed hardwood flooring which was completely horrible since you can hear everything, not to mention you can feel the heat from the washer and dryer that they installed into new units. We once had a cleaning crew that once came here Monday- Friday they were good at their job since the place was clean including the laundry room. Now since upreality took over there is NO cleaning crew here. Laundry room is NOW dirty and nasty, there was a creamer left in the laundry room for weeks flies started appearing until two of the tenants here at the time cleaned the laundry room. Already Equities three guys from Manhattan who could care less! Hired uptown, Realty, Leo specifically. They have raised the rent so high that most of the people have already left. They are remodeling, but it’s done extremely cheap. I’ll post pictures. The elevator doesn’t always work. Security doors are always left Open by the work crew. Garbage everywhere the call box doesn’t work. There’s no on site management, on something breaks down. You have to wait till whenever they decide to get to you. There is a pool which they have not opened since they bought it, on their website they claim that we have a lounge and a gym which we absolutely do not there’s no cleaning crew, so you can imagine how dirty and smelly the places. They put me in a horrible apartment I didn't ask for and put a deposit down on, and they don't do the work you ask them to do, they put an extra fee on my account every month that's not suppose to be there. This place is a scam.

BERRY equities doesn’t even deserve a one star. It’s a worthless, roach infested and black mold filled building. The management is racist. They only prioritize Spanish tenants because they are Hispanic. No one speaks English and if you’re lucky you’re lucky maybe one of the Hispanic tenants they have given the mangers number will give it to you but it’s kept in secret. everyone else is targeted purposely to have their cars towed, vacate notices and $800+ increases in rent . They wanted my rent to go from $1,300 to $2,200. The managements office is NEVER open UNLESS you see investors on site. The new updated apartments are poorly build and leak water from upper floors.

Elevators are always broken, washing machines and dryers in constant need of repairs, bell downstairs has been broken for a year or more, rugs in hallway were replaced without padding, and this year the pool won't be opening (2nd year in a row). Office in each building doesn't have specific hours that they're open for concerns or repairs, plus phone number to reach them is kept a secret. It is absolutely not worth the high cost of living in these buildings. Edit: newest problem. My lights have been flickering for weeks until they went out all together. I notified management many times. I had to call 911 finally get someone to look at my issue. I wonder how many weeks will I be without light now.
