Before closing on the home, please ensure that all your issues are documented in an affidavit and resolved as soon as possible beacuse Once you close on the home, Highland Homes seems to neglect any further concerns or issues you may have. I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Highland Homes representative , and I am deeply disappointed with the level of service provided. From the outset, communication has been poor, and responses to inquiries were slow or, in some cases, non-existent. I expected a much more professional and responsive approach, especially considering the significant investment involved in purchasing a home. Instead, I found myself constantly following up without receiving timely updates or solutions to the issues I raised. It’s extremely frustrating

I don’t even know where to start. From the start our salesperson Brooke from Highland Homes was one of the most condescending and unhelpful people. She made it sound like we were inconveniencing her if we had any questions on building our new home. Every single neighbor that had Brooke gives similar stories. The subcontractors Highland Homes use are the absolute worst, subpar, and inexperienced subcontractors. They are more concerned with how quick the house can be built than the quality of work. We went through about 6 builders through Highland Homes from the start of our house being built until now. They all complain about the company and ultimately leave. We have had multiple electrical issues, one being an emergency. We called their subcontractors emergency number and no one answers.

I am in the process of buying a new home with Highland. The experience has been awful from the arrogant sales people to the unresponsive builder. We asked that several pretty serious issues be fixed with the home before closing and they were not. We had a shower customized for my mother in law and they could not do something as simple as use the right grout color. You definitely get the impression once you go to contract with this builder, you become an after thought. Stay away...I have owned a J Patrick home here in the Woodlands and the experience was much better. There are better choices out there.

Be careful. Their support ticket handling sucks! Need to keep reminding & follow up regularly. It's been 5 months that I closed home with Highland homes and there are items identified before closing & they are yet to get addressed.

I am in the process of getting my home built by Highland Homes and the construction manager is not engaged enough. The top issue I have is finding beer can in/around the jobsite...and the construction manager response is he can't conclude it's been consumed on site nor if it's being consumed during the build because he hasn't caught anyone consuming alcohol when he walks the jobsite.
