Highland Estates Apartments

I have peace knowing my mom is living at Highland Estates. The facility is well kept by the maintenance tech, Joe. The office manager assist my mom and the residents in such a helpful and professional manner. Our family loves visiting and having family meals with my mom in such a warm and nice environment. I thank God that my mom was approved to live at Highlands where I know she is safe and happy.

The hallways are like walking through a sauna. And OMG, don't get me started on the elevator because it wreaks! It smells like someone has been peeing in it for months, and it's been baking in the hot sun. Not to mention, there's no point in telling the property manager because if it hasn't been noticed or taken care of thus far, then it's blatantly obvious that nobody cares enough to clean it. Truly DISGUSTING, to say the least! It makes my heart break to know, let alone admit that a family member of mine lives in this awful place. Nursing homes regulate their hall temperatures better and even smell better than that place.

I've been here for 2 long years! It feels more like the "projects" every day. Residents have people living with them and pay very little rent while others abide by the rules and pay over $600 a month! You are also allowed to smoke in your apartments! It smells just like cigarettes as you walk in!

For the past month I have ibeen calling left message two different times. Other times nobody will answer the phone when Inobodys. There when I went over there tuesdaynobodys ever in office

My mom has a cottage here. She really likes the place. The people that luvein the cottages and apartments are outgoing and friendly.
