High Associates, Ltd.

I had previously left a review but it was mysteriously taken down. Me and my wife rented an apartment here right before covid started and was told that our rent would not be increased for the following year but our rent was raised from $1500 to $1850 for the next year. Leah was the property manager at the time and she lied to us. In addition to the lie, she sent me and my wife those terms with very little time to move and sent us a bill for over $3000 dollars. We had originally leased under a corporate lease at the reserve but decided to try a more roomy apartment in one of their new properties. Our experience was unacceptable and I think that we were treated this way because we are African American. I only gave one star because I had to but I would like to say one thing to Leah. GOD

My firm, Construction Marketing Inc. is based in Sarasota Florida. We are tenants of High Associates, Ltd in one of their flex-space properties just north of the SRQ Airport. We have been here for 8 years and I am extremely happy with space and the property management provided by their firm as well as Jon Kleiber, who is their Regional Manager and our POC for facility matters. My firm has grown several times since we came to this facility and have effortlessly upgraded to larger spaces within the property and did not have to wait till lease end - which is very helpful! Maintenance is important and just this week we had a problem with one of the restrooms and there was a plumber here in 30 minutes who fixed it right up. Extremely unprofessional staff. They constantly threaten applicants to cancel their applications if they don’t agree with what they are saying and they discriminate against African American people. The staff is terrible…

No one answers, having to leave voicemail and they never return the call.
