Heritage Abstract Company

Sold my home with Heritage as the title company. Jennifer Holland who served as the closing agent did a better job keeping me informed than my attorney. Very professional, prompt and friendly.

We used to use Heritage for Title Services all the time, but this company has really gone down hill since it was taken over by Weichert. Most recently, I was trying to retrieve closing documents from them for a file we closed with one of our clients. Multiple phone calls, and I was told the only person with access to the file was Patti Hirschler - their director of operations. Two months of phone calls, e-mails, and voicemail from real estate agents, attorneys, and even their own staff at Heritage, with no response whatsoever. The tax deadline was missed, and we're pursuing legal action, but such a shame to see how far this company has fallen. Unfortunately I can't recommend them in good faith to my clients any longer, and would recommend other agents do the same.

I am a Licensed Real Estate Broker in NJ and Heritage Title has closed tons of transactions for our clients. Very efficient, timely, responsive and communicative. Allison is the best and I enjoy working with her. Every closing has been pleasant and their office location is very well maintained too. Thank you Heritage for being a part of our clients dream home mazes. Biggest advantage for Real Estate Agents they can also wire you your commission immediately. No other title company does that at all. They also add the enhanced policy to protect the clients, agents and attorneys which is very thoughtful and great.

I am a broker who represented a buyer on a transaction that this company is the settlement agent on. Primitive service and so slow, the check never arrived and 3 weeks in I am still chasing them. The person I spoke with kept telling me to wait and it would arrive (2 weeks later, via regular mail) I sent them an overnight shipping label and she said that she would need someone to approve a stop payment on the old check and issue a new one. Terrible and unpleasant experience. I would suggest you avoid working with them.

Great title company and great personnel. A pleasure for an attorney to work with.
