Haven New Providence

I wish I could give them 0 stars!!! I lived here for 8 months and had endless issues with this apartment. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. The most disturbing was the MOLD issue that NEVER got fixed. Photos are attached to this review too for reference… There was mold in multiple parts of the apartment. I called and expressed many times about how unsanitary it was to live in such a space and nothing was done about it. When I moved out about a month ago and expressed it again, I was told “I did not know you were unhappy with the experience” which how could someone be happy living in these conditions if I’m already complaining? Absolutely love living at Haven New Providence! Wonderfully-maintained grounds and apartments, outstanding location within walking-distance for grocery shopping, pharmacy, multiple excellent restaurants, public library, and town hall / police station. Safe, quiet community with kind, considerate neighbors. Multiple members of my family have lived in this wonderful neighborhood along Gales Drive for decades, and it’s now the nicest it’s ever been. If I could give Haven New Providence zero stars, I would. Living here has been one of the worst and most stressful experiences of my life. Management — especially Diego and Priscilla — are completely incompetent, unprofessional, and downright negligent. I reported major health and safety issues (constant marijuana smoke infiltration, a broken front door that wouldn’t latch properly, illegal charges on my account) over 40 times in emails and in person, and they either ignored me or gave excuses. They violated the basic standards of habitability every tenant is legally entitled to, and when confronted, they tried to twist my words, lie about what was said, and intimidate me. Our family just moved in today and it was great. From the leasing agents Ms. Jasmine and Mr. Diego, they are super nice and very patient to answer all my queries. The apartment itself is very cozy and homey. I’m in love with it at first sight. The neighborhood is peaceful and very accessible to different shops, restaurant, grocery store, etc. I’m hoping to collect beautiful memories here.

This review is for Brett. He was able to resolve our heating issue alongside the maintenance team within a few days of us bringing the issue to him. I appreciate Brett’s professionalism and empathy while we all were really frustrated with the building management and how they handled the heating issues. He seems to know quite a lot about client services and how to handle tough situations. Thanks Brett and Peter in maintenance for making the apartment bearable again. We’re enjoying living at haven due to our location but some neighbors have issues with very loud stomping children so please if you’re planning to move here understand the walls are relatively thin. You can hear everything. If you have kids please consider helping us protect our peace and find another place to reside.
