Customer Reviews
I lived at The Harvey for 2 years in two separate loft-style units, and I truly loved both my apartments and the management team. This was the first property I have ever lived at that I had actual face to face contact on a regular basis with the owner, who is a true gem and cares about his residents. When I brought concerns up the owner was often one of the points of contact and worked to find a resolution. In the end I left the Harvey due to a couple of things ( mainly the cons listed) none of which are factors that I think should deter someone from leasing here. Pros: Management: The staff is excellent, leasing, maintenance, everyone was consistently helpful and friendly. I worked with Droo throughout my leasing and for most of my stay. He was a friendly face that I saw throughout
I had arranged to tour a unit here, and we showed up right on time, only to wait around for about 10 minutes with no sign of the leasing agent. After waiting, the agent never showed up or followed up with me at all. Unfortunately, I couldn't speak to the actual units, but with no amenities and seemingly poor management, I wouldn't recommend this place.
My time here was unfortunately not a great experience. I lived in a studio on the fourth floor for 3 months (Jan-March 2025). I'll give some pros but first the cons. The main problem I had was that the building was designed in a way that puts you at the mercy of your neighbors. The floors are thin enough that you can hear normal to heavy footsteps above you. This is surprising given that the building is just a few years old. A couple and a dog lived above me and I'd hear the thuds of their footsteps often from 11pm to 12:30am and then again around 6:30am (I assume they had different work schedules). I'd hear the dog barking late at night too once a week. I assume the dog had separation anxiety as I'd hear the barking when there was no footsteps. The upstairs neighbors would also play loud
New resident and currently love it here. Communication throughout the move in and leasing process has been excellent! Unit was in excellent condition.
Harvey has the best location and truly epic views. I love the style of each apartment and how there's plenty of room to work from home. The rent is very affordable, which is rare for a brand new building near a vibrant farmers market, top-notch restaurants, bars, and the lovely Balboa Park. It's a gem in the heart of the city.
