Harford Village South Apartments

Lived here for years when i moved In there were stains on carpet and blinds broken. Years later when i moved out they tried charging me for stains on carpet. The same ones they told me about when signing lease. Took me to court over bogus charges. Which were dropped. Bathroom was falling apart while living there never got fixed. Dude downstairs had a music studio in spare room. When i would Call the office about it they do nothing. Not a great experience at all. Avoid

Outdated appliances, kitchen sink fills up with water from upstairs neighbor, vents are connected so you can smell everything, uugh. Mold, bad carpet, bathroom sink and toilet keeps getting clogged. Property manager doesn't return calls, and just not worth the price.

Don't rent from them... buy a house, write the interest off and do yourself a favor. You'll be paying a rent that is just as expensive, possible more, then if you would just purchase your own house. I would not recommend this complex. While the area is nice, and it is one of the cheaper, nicer places to live, their customer service is extremely lacking. I gave notice that I would be moving out. Paid the early termination fee required, in full, prior to when it was due. I inquired about the walk through that was completed and if they found everything satisfactory, this was confirmed via email. Better suited for the college students that live here. Apartment was nothing like the model, ask to see an apartment before you sign. “Renovate as needed” means a lot of original parts are still intact and likely that rent increases if renos are needed. Ants and flying ants present prior to moving in, toilets overflow, vents connected so smoke from neighbors enters apartment, cabinets fill with water when using dryer (had to buy a pantry instead). Also cracks and damage in kitchen floor prior to move in.

My experiences with this establishment over six years of living at one of their condos across the street at Hickory Hills were generally negative. Where do I begin? Cathy (leasing manager) was unpleasant to deal with at all times. When looking at places as prospective renters she showed us a model at Emerald Woods...which naturally looked great. When we requested to see the real deal, she put up a lot of resistance. She finally brought us to said apartment and it was not very nice. Long story short, we moved on to Hickory Hills and signed a lease on a condo there. Cathy sold hard. We were told it would be cleaned before taking possession. Spoiler alert: it wasn't. Cathy also told me when I signed that the $100 or so application fee would be waived because of where I worked at the time. A
