Harbach Lofts

So far we have enjoyed our move to Harbach. We haven't really had any issues, but haven't needed to contact property crew yet. Thoughts so far; walls are kind of thin. You definitely can hear your neighbors on either side of you. There is also no dehumidifier in the restroom. There is also no screens on the windows, so opening them (the little that they do) is not always the best (ive gotten some flies in). Other than this, the place is quite nice! Modern day amenities at modern day prices!

I recently moved into Harbach Lofts a couple weeks ago and everything has been great! The process has been very smooth, from viewing, to signing the lease and even the move in process, I haven't had any issues. Management that I have met has been very helpful and responds quickly (I have yet to deal with maintenance), and I have felt very comfortable in the building so far! I will update in a few months.

I toured here recently and really liked the apartments they had to offer. Liam was great and very accommodating, I didn’t have a very flexible schedule and he showed us around on a Sunday which helped me tremendously. He was also very timely in all our communications. Overall I had a great experience with the management at Harbach Lofts.

I reckon it can be challenging taking on remote management of a complex where the tenants are used to continous on-site catering. However, I feel the LivLavender/Newbury folks are trying their best to adapt. Consider the recent recycling back-and-forth where we had it taken away due to misuse from negligent tenants and outsiders: management was receptive to suggestions of how to give us a better way to keep recycling as an option here at the complex, which has since been restored. This I appreciate very much.

Great location in downtown Des Moines. The building and units are very unique with a ton of character. The owners and manager are always around and spend a lot of time continuing to make improvements on the property. They know most, if not all tenants by name and really value feedback in how they can make things better. Walking distance to many bars, restaurants, HyVee, etc. Top floor unit has high ceilings, was very quiet and had great views. Minutes from I-235. Excellent spot for anyone new to the Des Moines area or wanting to live downtown.
