Customer Reviews
negative experience dealing with Tonel Maresco in property management at 2600. The level of unprofessionalism and rudeness was extremely disappointing. Communication was dismissive and unhelpful, and concerns were not handled with the respect or professionalism you would expect when paying to live somewhere. Tenants deserve to feel heard and treated fairly, but that was not my experience here. If you are considering living at 2600, I would strongly recommend thinking twice and exploring other options where management treats residents with courtesy and professionalism. Overall, I would not recommend living here based on my experience.
Antoinette Maresco, property manager at 2600 Netherland Ave has driven half the tenants out of the very large Century Building in Riverdale because she refuses and chooses to lie and ignore Building and apartment issues, which are detrimental to the tenants living there. The best thing this management company can do for their tenants, is to find a replacement for her. She has brought the value of the building down in the one year she has been there and has negatively represented Hampton Management. She does not value the tenants, or the place she works in.
The building I reside in is well-run (great maintenance, porters, doormen)… HOWEVER Their in-office management (Brandon Taylor, specifically) behaves callous, increasing rent during lease renewals, and treating tenants rudely with the ‘what you gonna do about it’ attitude they wouldn’t dare use face-to-face. After dealing with Mr. Taylor, you’ll need a nice long shower.
Don't rent here! I moved in at the start of the pandemic (April 2020). I informed them at move in that the air conditioning to the unit didn't work. I was told it would be fixed before I moved in. When I moved in it wasn't and my countless emails and phone calls were all ignored. I'm a front line worker and worked 15+ hr days during the pandemic and would be forced to come to an apartment with no air conditioning. To make matter worst the ducts in the apartment would fill the apartment with smut. Instead of suctioning the ducts blew out air. The air conditioner was eventually replaced in the end of July with the incorrect air conditioning system. I was forced to survive the entire pandemic without air conditioning including the countless heat waves.
Watch out for this company. I stayed 2600 Netherland Ave for 2 and 1/2 years. They asked me the deposit for $5,250. The agreement is 60 days after I leave they would mail to me. After 3 months I did not receive the deposit. I called to ask my deposit back. They said that mailed it so I begged them to cancel the check send to me a new one. They are not showing any good will. All I need is money back from them.
