I do not recommend renting from this leasing company. I am currently a tenant and moving out in July, yet they have been showing my home to prospective tenants since December. The biggest issue is that they enter the house without knocking, they unlock the door and walk straight in, even when I am home. This has happened multiple times and feels like a complete violation of privacy and personal safety. This week, I have been bedridden and sick and I contacted them to ask if showings could be paused temporarily. Not only did they refuse, they added an additional showing bringing the total to three, despite knowing I am ill and unable to reasonably accommodate strangers walking through my living space. I would not recommend renting with H.A. Edwards at all. I lived at one of their properties for three years and each year showed a decline in the quality of management and customer service. Multiple times they would ignore our maintenance requests, one time they even lied and said they came to fix our garbage disposal when we have proof that no one came into our apartment and it was still broken. The pool and courtyard area of the property were dirty and not well maintained, most summers we could not even get in the pool because it was an actual bio hazard (dead bird) or because the pools were broken. I went on tour with several companies and properties. When I finally went to HA Edwards, I chose to rent, at a slightly higher rate because of the quality of property and the property manager Mary was honestly amazing!!!! She has been honest and wonderful. But be now been in the property for 10 months and she has handled every concern immediately or within the contracted time. I’m extending my lease in November. Thank you Mary and HA Edwards.
