We were contacted by our realtor many days after our closing to inform us that the property we purchased was sold fraudulently. After requesting GAT call us, we were told they had been able to cancel our land payment check as it had not been cashed yet and that the money was in their escrow account. It should have been a simple transfer of funds to have our money returned as this was fraud that GAT failed to catch, however our funds were not immediately returned to us. Instead, GAT wanted us to sign documents before returning our money. It was numerous days of stress and attorney consults before we finally received our money back. My advice, should this happen to you, don't be bullied into signing documents such as a non disclosure or release of liability just to get your rightful refund.

We were not impressed with this title company. Communication was pathetic. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
