Grande Oaks at Heathrow | Kolter Homes

I've lived here nearly three years. Nice Community. Friendly Neighbors. Good Clubhouse and pool. So close to everything. 417 and I-4 just minutes away. Walking distance to a number of good restaurants and shopping. My only negative is with their recommended in house financing people. Bad experience. Poor communication caused delay in closing, poor communication cost me extra money in storing my household belongings on the moving truck for several days and hotel stay.They would lose information that we sent to them. Have to send it again. When I complained to several corporate layers above got the runaround and essentially ignored. Otherwise, love the place.

This place is great. Well maintained and lovely grounds and amenities. Neighbors are pleasant, gated community and the homes are built with quality construction. Well worth the price for low maintenance living in a beautiful environment and a great location where you can walk to everything. There are other nearby townhome communities, but if you do your research, you will find faulty construction issues and parking complaints. Grande Oaks does not have any of those problems which is what ultimately brought me here over the other communities. Some negative reviews suggest rude behavior from the builder sales agent, which I can see how maybe they could be perceived that way, however, if you get past that, it is well worth dealing with to live here. Don't let a snobby person disuade you.

Because unsupervised and underage teens used the pool causing problems and/or damage the adult residents are no longer allowed to swim after dusk. I believe there to be much better ways to handle this than to make responsible adults suffer by not being able to swim quietly in the evening when younger people and families are preparing for bed. The fitness center is opened all hours as many people like or need to work out "after hours" - the same goes for fitness swimming, some people need or prefer to swim in the evening. Residents pay HOA fees to maintain and use the amenities, but instead of making sure people are of age, or supervised by responsible owner/resident adults - they choose to close the pool area at dusk, penalizing everyone. Poor choice of handling this issue.

Not a review on the community, but on the sales agent, Yvette Miletti. She's not very pleasant. I honestly don't know how someone who makes judgements on potential clients based on looks experiences any success at all. Very funny and oh so fulfilling that she decided to focus her attention and efforts on the older white couple there at the same time as my family who DID NOT make that purchase like she thought they would. I'll continue my house search elsewhere as Yvette has soured me to this community. Just down the street at Thornbrook, maybe, as the sales agents there were awesome and the houses are in the same price range.

Hopefully no one else goes through the same issues my family & I have had with this builder. Kolter homes has THE WORST customer service we have ever seen. They are out to just make money & don't care about the customer. DO NOT buy from this company!!!! I am only giving them one star because I had no other option. They tell you one thing and sell you the wrong thing. You call with questions and no one returns your call back. Very very poor customer service! Very dishonest! Calling the better business bereau to report them!
