This is an honest review for future residents. Wayzata is a wonderful city to live in, and Gleason was a great community. That is what I miss the most. After living there for 14 years, I moved away, and I’m grateful I found a place where my opinion matters and where management understands feedback and cares about their residents. That said, please make sure you read the lease and business agreement carefully before signing. The community is no longer quiet—it can be loud, with parties on the weekends. In the summer, there are bugs everywhere, and if your unit faces a walk-out area, you should expect to see snakes. If your screens are not sealed properly, these creatures can get inside. If your unit faces direct sunlight, your A/C will run nonstop because it is not central air. My electric
Israel did a great job testing my oven to make sure the oven was as hot as the temp I had chosen. Looks like the oven thermometer I purchased to check it myself was not correct. Decided to have temp checked after having to cook brownies longer than stated in the directions! Really appreciated the quick response to my request especially around Holiday baking. Thanks
Safety at this place has been an issue. Break in to the garage, stealing people item are common theme. The garage looks in the 70s, the foundation is complete destroyed. Turn over is crazy at this company and property. If you give a feedback or even a complaint, they said you can move if you are not happy with it. My parent has enough, so they moved out. But letting you guys know, I will report you guys to the City of Wayzata for your garage foundation. Also, don't you dare ever threaten my family to move out if they are not happy. Do your job correctly and fix your property then there won't be any complaint. How dare you guys threaten your residence? Also how dare you to be disrespectful to my parent? After remodeling the apartments and taking out the carpet in them, I find it is no longer quite as it once was. The apartment above me sounds like a herd of cattle walking around for hours at a time and at all times day or night. I think they run their washer and dryer late at night as I can hear it when I am trying to sleep. It is very frustrating as the first several years I hardly heard a sound from the people above me. Not sure if they now accept section 8 housing as it seems there is a change in atmosphere around the complex and in the parking lot. I still like living here however it has been reduced due to the noise from above and the loss of storage when they installed full sized washer and dryer in a 1-bedroom apartment. HIGHLAND MANAGEMENT GROUP is the worst management group in the state. Countless problems I had with them but I moved out 10/31 and got my security deposit back on 12/2 which is insane and illegal, they’re supposed to give it back within 21 days. They started to dodge my calls and not even answer after I kept on complaining. Also, they’ve charged me for not having my keys to get back in the apartment late at night but it’s because they were doing renovation and didn’t even let anyone know that the Butterfly MX door would not be accessible. Due to this they charged me like 200 bucks even though they admitted I wasn’t at fault. Terrible customer service and very unprofessional people.
