Fox Point in Old Farm Apartments

We moved in about a month ago. I have found the staff to be very friendly and professional. I had read a ton of bad reviews prior to moving in but that hasn't been our experience at all. The application and signing process is very hands-off, 100% done through the portal. The staff did not handheld throughout the process so I can see where some people would have difficulty. Once I was able to access the portal which contains the move in checklist it was a simple process. The only real interaction I had with staff during this process was in adding a specific unit to the application in order to complete it. I honestly regret moving here. The only positive thing I can say is that Kristine, the manager, is truly wonderful. She is kind, professional, and tries to help whenever she can. She deserves recognition. Unfortunately, everything else has been extremely disappointing. We reported a broken oven over a month ago, and it still hasn’t been fixed. We reported issues with the dishwasher two months ago, and nothing has been resolved. Maintenance requests take far too long, and basic living conditions feel neglected. We also have ongoing plumbing issues — the toilet backs up regularly, and it has become a weekly problem. This is unacceptable for any apartment community. If you value your comfort and peace of mind, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere before signing a lease here.

We are very disappointed with our experience living here. Unfortunately, the overall maintenance response has been extremely poor. Our oven has not been repaired for over a month. Our dishwasher has had problems for two months without resolution. The toilet has recurring issues almost every week, which makes daily life very stressful and frustrating. Another concern is how payments are handled. If you are even one day late on rent, you immediately receive formal notices about moving out or legal action. I have had a very positive experience living here. Staff was extremely helpful when I came to look at the place. Gave me detailed and a map. I was able to text a number 24/7 with questions about my application and process, break down of pest control fee for 2.00 a month. Came move in day - I showed up and my keys were ready. I did a move in inspection with pictures to detail anything I have seen. You pay a small monthly fee for trash but they come almost daily to empty the large trash dumpsters. They also have many on property. Covered parking is spacious and even covers the sidewalk to make it easier to bring things in from your vehicle. Surprising this isn’t the worst place I have lived. The apartments themselves are old and stinky and dirty and un updated. But every time I put in a maintenance request it’s done the next day. It’s nice to have a laundry facility that isn’t terribly overpriced. The machines do need a little TLC though. And they do put a lot of work into the landscaping and it is really pretty. You can make this place a home but it’s definitely not a 5 star rental property.
