I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled, and I’m asking once again for some compassion and understanding. I accidentally booked this reservation, and within less than a minute I reached out to both Magdalena and Forceta Estate to explain what happened. I was told they couldn’t issue a refund directly and that I needed to contact Airbnb. I followed their instructions immediately. Airbnb then submitted a request to Forceta Estate for the full refund amount ($600). Despite this, Magdalena has repeatedly told me they will not refund my money. This was an honest mistake. We recently rented with Forteca for the second time. I must say that throughout all the years of me renting various short stay places, they by far set the standard for customer service. Both properties were extremely clean and the Host went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Before we left, we already reserved another stay at one of their properties. Be careful when using their services. Tried to scam me out of $1,600 for “damages” The photos are much nicer than what the place actually looks like. Very cheap furniture, and I imagine they picked the cheapest “carpenter” on craigslist to do their remodeling. If you need to stay with them, document photos upon arrival to save yourself. I’ll never even come close to staying at one of their places again.

Stayed at one of their homes and it was definitely a great experience. Place was clean, modern and there was everything that we needed to make our family get away comfortable. We’ll definitely be coming back to them in future
