I agree with other reviews that they keep your deposit. We had left the place cleaner than when we moved in. When we moved in the washer was leaking, the place smelled like cigarette smoke, we were left without hot water for two weeks, and we didn't have door numbers on our unit for over two months. Upon living there, there were numerous other issues. The construction was not well done. With paper thin walls, a bathtub that literally cracks beneath your feet a couple months after moving in, and constant mold lining the windows no matter how often you clean them. We had multiple instances where we would input service requests, while waiting at home, and they would “complete” the request without ever entering the unit. Stephanie and Lexi are especially unhelpful. I gave up trying to coordinate with these two or asking their office for help. The sister location located adjacent to this one is much better and the staff there were a lot more helpful. It was very obvious on both occasions when I came into this office and when I called, that neither woman was very interested in helping me. It made me realize, clearly this is just a job to them and they aren’t really interested in helping anyone or being inconvenienced. Clearly, how this business operates or how it does, must not affect them.

I have lived here for six years and I have had a good experience. The apartment complex is very quiet with lots of shade trees. The management is responsive and has online payment/maintenance access. There is covered car parking to protect at least one vehicle from the sun. Guests have plenty of parking access. The complex is close to a bike path, bidwell park, and is on a bus line. The internet access from comcast is good (>900 mbps down and 24 mbps up). We are less than a mile from grocery stores and fast food options. I find it difficult to complain about anything. Recently, Hignell also installed four electric vehicle Charge Point charging stations (level 2, J1772) which is a wonderful investment in the future! My kitchen sink leak was fixed promptly and professionally. The service person was friendly and courteous. Makes renting from Hignell and joy! *************** October 6, 2025 Pretty much since I moved in several years ago, I’ve had minor, ongoing, issues with the combination clothes washer/dryer. It was time to submit another maintenance request, only this time I asked for the moon & stars. An hour later I received a text message from Lexy that I’ll have a new machine in a few days time. She made it happen. Best manager ever!

Mostly positive experience but two problems , 1) When there is a SMOKING problem in this designated non-smoking building, it has not been addressed in a timely manner . This issue Was not handled by prior management hopefully that will change as it is a significant health problem for us and quality of life issue. 2) nonresident ) truck keeps backing in spot next to mine causing issues he has been warned , but there has been no follow up and no change. Lexi has been very helpful in addressing other issues.
