Flamingo Crossings Village (West)

I lived here during my college program, and it was honestly one of the most frustrating living experiences I’ve ever had. For nearly half of my program, our bathroom light did not work despite submitting multiple maintenance requests. Nothing was resolved in a reasonable timeframe, and it constantly felt like our concerns were ignored. On top of that, the move-in condition of the apartment was unacceptable. The housing team claims units are cleaned before arrival, but my room was in such horrible condition that it genuinely felt unsanitary and not ready for anyone to live in. Worst place I have ever seen in the world. I arrived 10 days ago, and I have 3 absolutely disrespectful roommates — noisy and aggressive at the slightest remark, even when asking nicely. Flamingo has been informed about this about 15 times in 10 days, and yet nothing is done. I know people here who have been living here for months with similar problems and have had the same results! I called security twice due to major issues with my roommates; besides coming and asking them to stop at that moment, they do nothing else! I came from abroad to work and have an amazing experience, which turned into a real nightmare. Even if you are harassed by your roommates and living in hell, they will charge you $200 to change rooms — and on top of that, put you on a waiting list 😂. So the victims end up

If you think this place is good, you probably haven’t lived anywhere better. The community center and package room are nice, and some of the staff are kind and polite. However, others can be rude, disrespectful, and completely lack problem-solving skills. The pools and amenities look great, but the cleanliness is disappointing — there’s dust and bugs everywhere. It’s also supposed to be quiet after midnight, yet that rule is rarely followed. Worst of all, some residents are incredibly inconsiderate and have no understanding of what it means to share a common space. Living here has been a frustrating experience, and I’m honestly so upset about it!

This place is absolute garbage. NEVER live here. roomates are horrible, there are bugs EVERYWHERE; in the bathroom, your own bedroom; and worst of all, you PANTRY. I had flamingo crossings pest control come down TWICE after i found multiple insects in my food TWICE within the SECOND WEEK of me moving in, and not only did their best control so next to nothing, they didn’t even COMPENSATE ME FOR THE $100+ WORTH OF FOOD I THREW AWAY. nobody should have to pay $1000+ in rent and still have 3 other roommates, have to share a very small bathroom and room with somebody else; have bugs all over the apartment, foundational cracks EVERYWHERE, paint chipping, A LIMIT OF 72 DEGREES ON THE THERMOSTAT IN 100 DEGREE FLORIDA WEATHER, a broken dishwasher, and so SO much more. They lost four of my items and Marley at the service desk was very rude about it and unhelpful. Another worker told me to go to the service desk and ask to have my ticket resubmitted and she said it wasn’t possible and then later admitted she just didn’t know how to do it. I submitted a ticket for missing packages but I know they just didn’t send in my Parcel Pending and are refusing to even check. Incredibly disappointing and really unprofessional attitude.
