We had an issue where FirstKey Homes added $495 in landscaping and violation fees to our rental statement, even after we had already bought new mulch, edging, and worked hard to clean up and restore the yard for the HOA. The yard had rocks under the mulch from before we moved in and a tree that had grown sideways, which made it challenging to fix. Thankfully, James stepped in and was able to get those charges reversed. He was professional, and helpful throughout the process. I appreciate the way he handled everything and made sure the issue was resolved quickly.

And another update: October, 2025 - Yeah still have the back patio roof collapse that hasnt been fixed. And lets add to that now. Large hole in our ceiling in the hallway has been there for about a month now. Apparently, there was water that built up in the attic because a safety switch wasnt installed coorectly. And the water caused the ceiling to collapse. This is a nightmare!!! Called FirstKey repeatedly and runaround, runaround and nothing is getting done. What the hell, FirstKey? Perfect execution of his skills allowed for us to be back up and running with water back to our house within a few hours. This is much needed as we have a family of four. A documented nightmare: 4 major sewage backups and zero accountability. We have been tenants since 2021, but the neglect we’ve faced recently is staggering. My family has lived in our home for 7 years. I raised my two children in this home. I wanted to continue to live here, and was willing to workout any kind of solution to be able to afford to stay after they raised our rent again. We pay our rent on time, every month, for years. They were not willing to lower our rent even $100. Even with another down payment. Nothing. They said "so sorry, there's nothing we can do". There is no loyalty here.
