First American Title Insurance Company

Gave up trying to work with them on a $325k mortgage I committed to fund, after a week of trying, as an out- of-state, one time lender. Sad, but a relief of the stress of trying to work with them and get answers. I would assign 50% as their fault and 50% to the secrecy of borrower, using a Wyoming LLC for partial ownership. Ms. Elena Cermak was ill 2 days and never returned my 2 phone calls when she came back. Someone else tried to help, but it was a waste of my time to try to figure out whether what I discussed with her had been carried through. As an out of stater, they speak a different language with some of their terminology. They were not gracious to bridge the gap of working with them. Probably local people have better results if they work with them regularly and send them alot

First American Title was great to work with. Every time I talked with our escrow officer she was friendly and highly competent. The signing of escrow papers went south when a mobile notary (not affiliated with First American Title) dropped the documents off at the wrong shipper and for a moment we thought escrow was going to be delayed. But Wendy, our escrow officer at First American, immediately jumped into action and arranged a remote signing within a couple of hours, so escrow still closed on time. She did it with confidence and a great attitude. We are thankful that First American Title was there for us.

Love working w/ First American Title! Vanessa is AH-MAZING! Always keeping you up to date on your transaction, never a bad experience with this office, EVER! The worst experince I’ve ever had with any company much less a title company michel wadele was so distant an never seemed like she cared or wanting to share info on what was happening for instance I was completely under the impression that my first payment would be taken out in January 1 come to find out today. I’m already late and behind on my payment I guess it was due December 1 unbeknown to me so I highly do not recommend this company at all. at least don’t work with Michelle Waddell also when I brought a 50.000 check for my deposit they couldn’t give me a receipt .. who does that !! Very unorganized incompentant co as far as I’m concerned I will never go thru them again

I appreciate the professionalism and consistent quality of care that I receive as a real estate broker for my clients. The Vanessa Blacksmith Team has been great to work with as have been the other escrow and title officers in the Grants Pass office. This office is very supportive and respectfully responsive to the needs of the people that I work to serve. They have helped make my job easier, thank you.
