I had a very frustrating experience with American Home Warranty. My water heater failed at my home in Ashland, causing an active leak in my utility room. I submitted a service request on Friday at 12:45 PM, expecting a timely response given the urgency. Instead, I was told it would take up to 24 business hours for the assigned contractor (RM1) to respond—despite the fact that they are only open Monday through Thursday. This effectively guarantees no response until Monday, leaving my home exposed to ongoing water damage for days. Even more concerning, American Home Warranty refused to upgrade the claim to an emergency because they “don’t cover secondary damage.” This policy makes no sense when their delayed response is directly contributing to that very damage—floors and walls will now li
